Our ceremonial Izanami matcha is crafted from the highest quality Okumidori cultivar, known for its deep green color and floral, balanced umami flavor. Named after the Japanese goddess of creation, Izanami symbolizes the source and creation. It is a first flush, single origin matcha.
Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Kagoshima, Japan, near the active Sakurajima volcano, this matcha is nourished by the earth’s energy, which gives the leaves their vibrant color and unique flavor. This matcha is hand-picked and stone-ground to preserve its antioxidants and natural L-theanine.
